General Hospital: Now that the fact that Steve Burton has actually left and Jason has presumably died on-screen has sunk in, it is time that we start looking at other options. General Hospital spoilers make us think, would Jason Morgan be recast? Or will GH wait for Steve Burton to return to the soap?
GH fan or not, everyone knows that Jason was an extremely popular character. He was a part of some central storylines, and his absence is bound to create a void. So, now, General Hospital will have to make some decisions on how they must fill that void. Would the character be recast?
Since Jason is such an important character, it looks like General Hospital will take time before they make a decision. Right now, since Drew Cain has returned, there will be a lot of drama. This will give writers and producers the to work something out.
As for what will happen with Jason Morgan down the line, there are a number of possibilities. In a video that Steve Burton recently posted, he said that he was willing to come back if GH lifted the vaccine mandate. But, that isn’t happening for the foreseeable future. That also means that Steve Burton won’t come back anytime soon.
There is a small room for the possibility that Burton might change his mind and get vaccinated, but if that does not happen, it will be waiting for a long time. But if none of this happens, there is a possibility that GH might leave the door open for Burton.
In the past, many characters have been presumed dead for a long time. So, that could happen for Jason too. Whatever GH decides to do, Jason Morgan’s future remains up in the air at the moment.
