Actor Steve Burton’s return to General Hospital as Jason Morgan has perhaps been the most anticipated one in the recent past. Well, fans won’t have to wait much longer as the loved star returns on air on March 3, 2024, on GH. However, another topic that’s making the rounds on social media is the speculations about his return storyline. Amongst all speculations, Jason, being Sonny’s mystery attacker, is the most prominent one.
But guess what! Even though it seems like a very viable, interesting, and obvious arc, General Hospital has chosen not to go down that road. So, all the hue and cry over the mystery shooter and Sonny’s traitor is not going to lead to Jason’s discovery. But that does not mean the actual story arc is any less fascinating. Recently, GH stars Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson appeared on the Daily Drama podcast. There, Steve asserted that all the popular fan theories about his return are actually way off the mark.
General Hospital Spoilers: Jason Morgan’s Return Story Arc
While, Steve did not actually spell out which popular fan theories he was talking, we do know it is the mystery shooter one. As most General Hospital fans already know, Sonny and his family have been under threat for some time now. First, it was the shootout at Metro Court, then the attack at his Puerto Rico home. The fact that the shooter managed to surpass security undetected made Sonny theorize that it had to be an inside job. One of his own men has betrayed him.
Thus, understandably, many fans began speculating that it could have been the doing of a brainwashed Jason on General Hospital. But, it appears that may not be the case. Backing up Steve’s debunking of fan theory, co-star Bradford Anderson said that he actually happens to know a bit of Jason’s return story arc, and it is “so flippin’ cool.” Furthermore, Steve teased that the soap has already started to breadcrumb the real return storyline. So, fans better watch out and start to take notice of the little things.
