Spencer and Trina had been going so strong on General Hospital that a feeling of dread had started to rise up in many fans’ hearts. After all, it is Soap 101 that a monkey wrench must be thrown into the works every time a super-couple reaches an ultimate high in their romance. Because, where is the drama in happily everafters? Also, add to the fact that actor Nicholas Chavez needed time away from the ABC soap. Thus, a presumed dead arc was written to accommodate his absence from GH.
“We Went Out With A Bang”
Those who tuned in to the latest episodes of General Hospital saw how Spencer and Esme fell into the deep water in Paris following a scuffle on the boat. Thus resulting in both of them drowning. While the drowning very well ended Esme’s life and her apparent reign of terror. It also caused Spencer to go missing. That ultimately leads to everyone believing that he has passed on by drowning as well. But we know that’s not the case. Spencer will eventually be back. But for now, GH has seen the end of Sprina’s run.
Tabyana Ali told Soap Opera Digest in a recent chat that “this” is it for the time being. The actress recalled how she and Nicholas arrived on the sets early on the last day of their filming together. Adding that she didn’t even realize that they wouldn’t be seeing each other for a while, until “Nick” started saying goodbye to everyone on the sets. Tabyana asserted that she, along with Avery Pohl and Nicholas, gave their absolute best for the final scenes, as they wanted to go out with a bang. She believes that this Paris drowning will become a very important chapter on GH.
Trina’s Emotional Breakdown On General Hospital
There is not a single shred of doubt that Tabyana Ali is a fantastic performer. But sometimes, there are some scenes that really require the performers to go that extra mile to have the desired effect on the screen. And that’s exactly what she had to do to bring out the real pain Trina feels on losing Spencer – The love of her life. Explaining the same, Tabyana pointed out that she has never lost anyone close in her life. But it has been an inexplainable fear ever since her childhood. She has always feared losing her soulmate, or someone she loves dearly, at a young age,
So, she tapped into those very fears and feelings to bring out the monumental ache that Trina harbors in Spencer’s death on General Hospital. She points out that Nicholas is such a great actor. And that together, they have been able to forge an undisputable romance. Perhaps that is why they have managed to garner such a massive fanbase so early in their romance. They truly are the youngest but highly revered supercouple in the daytime currently.
Speaking on Trina’s profound love for Spencer on General Hospital, Tabyana feels that Trina won’t want to move on from him and their love anytime soon. She won’t even think about it. However, she asserted that this hit that she has taken won’t keep her down. Even if she has her eyes closed in the dark right now, Trina will still keep going. There is nothing that she can’t persevere through.
Although the young soap star insists that she doesn’t know what lies ahead for Trina, we are certain that she will be reunited with Spencer shortly.
