General Hospital: Victor Is Irredeemable, Charles Shaughnessy REVEALS What’s NEXT

There has never been a bigger and a better villain in General Hospital than the mighty Victor Cassadine. There is hardly any evil he hasn’t committed and there is barely anything he wouldn’t do to serve his purpose. The man is so vile that he hasn’t even spared his own son Valentin and granddaughter Charlotte. In fact the whole of Cassadine family keeps getting caught in his crosshairs, let alone the gen pop of Port Carles. One of his latest scapegoats on the ABC soap is Holly Sutton. What he did with her was rotten. Actor Charles Shaughnessy himself agrees that Victor is “irredeemable”.

When Charles started to portray the role of wretched Victor on General Hospital, he knew he was ” bad to the bone”. However, he told Soap Opera Digest that what Victor has done with Holly is just horrible. In fact, Charles believes that Victor was already irredeemable, and now he has walked past even that. “He was truly awful to Holly.” Charles admitted. Having said that, The tremendously talented actor confessed to loving playing the bad guy. Victor is creating trouble for all the fan favorites, he is making their lives miserable.

Recounting the sinister acts Victor has done on Port Charles, the star pointed out that he killed Luke Spencer. He even put Anna in jail and tried to destroy her relationship with Valentin. Victor is just “dreadful”, Charles admits. But he also adds that it’s such great fun to be portraying him. He is that character that everybody loves to hate. (Well, we have to agree. No one does sinister better than Victor, and GH won’t be the same without the evil Cassadine patriarch.)

Charles is enthused that the most amazing part about playing Victor is that he gets to be part of all storylines. The makers find mind-bending ways of inserting him in the most incredible of plots. Furthermore, he added that this way he gets to act with a lot of the cast on General Hospital. He points that he had a bit to play with Lucy. Then he has this things going with Spencer and Nik. He also gets to touch base with storylines involving Robert and Laura. It’s just all amazing, volatile and combative storylines and dynamics!

Even after all that Victor has done so far, his bigger plans for Port Charles still remain a mystery on General Hospital. He is always up to something, but no one exactly knows what. And how do you stop someone when you don’t even know what they are upto! This puts Victor in such a powerful and untouchable position. And we can’t wait to find out what he has up his sleeves next.
