Gypsy Rose Blanchard did not have an easy childhood. She carries several traumas from her past, and to date, they bother her. While Gypsy was born healthy, her mother claimed that she had several diseases. It all started with her mother’s claims that she had sleep epilepsy, but then it progressed to leukemia, paralysis, muscular dystrophy, and many more. Her mom, Dee Dee, controlled every aspect of her life and manipulated her.
Things soon got bad, and Dee Dee convinced everyone that Gypsy was really unwell and had all sorts of ailments. In reality, Gypsy was completely healthy, but her mother firmly believed otherwise. Later, in 2012, doctors diagnosed the diva with microdeletion 1Q21.1. It is a rare genetic condition where a small piece of chromosome 1 is missing from every cell. Gypsy always feared that her daughter would inherit the same condition, so she had her daughter tested. So, what were the results?

What Went Wrong With Gypsy Rose And Her Mom?
Gypsy Rose’s parents split when she was young, and her mom raised her. Dee Dee firmly believed that her daughter suffered from various diseases, effectively locking her away in the house. Without informing her mom, Gypsy created an online dating profile and began messaging Nicholas Godejohn.
Later, Gypsy, along with her boyfriend, planned to kill her mom. She, in her testament, revealed that her ex-BF, Godejohn killed Dee Dee while Gypsy hid in the bathroom. Nicholas stabbed Dee Dee 17 times in a rage. After spending eight years in prison, authorities released Gypsy. She served 85% of her sentence but was released earlier on good behavior.
