The second season of Hanna is over, and it has left us on the edge of our seats. Now we are wondering when Hanna Season 3 would come and answer all the questions. Is Hannah Season 3 Happening?
Thankfully yes, Hanna Season 3 is happening. Amazon Prime Video had renewed the show for a third outing back in July 2020. Speaking about the renewal news, the creator and the writer- David Farr, says that he is thrilled about being able to make Hanna Season 3. He continued to say that when they set out on this journey, they had a drama in their mind that would explore Hanna’s past. They would challenge her in new ways and answer the question of if she can ever belong.
In a statement, Farr says that he is truly grateful to NBCU and Amazon for letting him continue his vision. He says that he is also indebted to Esmé Creed-Miles and to Mireille Enos for continuing their commitment and the enormous talent that the actresses take as Hanna and Marissa into this unexplored terrain. Farr says that the third season will be an exciting one.
What Will Happen Next?
The second season of the show definitely left all of us with a number of open storylines that all viewers want answers to. We can expect Hanna Season 3 to come bearing all of these answers. A number of unexpected characters teamed up; there were departures in the final minutes of the season finale in the second season.
Something that was most chilling for all the viewers was the slow evolution of Sandy, the Utrax trainee. She was a wholesome blonde Brady Bunch who turned into a bonafide brain-washed killer at the end. She is someone we can expect to become the villain when Hanna Season 3 comes back.
The finale of the second season saw Hanna as she manages to hold off all the Utrax employees and save Clara and the teenage hostage whose father was killed by Sandy. Marrissa Weigler had come to save Anna and blackmailed all the other survivors into becoming a double agent.
By doing that, they would be able to help her and Hanna into re-infiltrating Utrax and seek out the mysterious ‘Pioneers’ behind this organization. It looks like when Hannah Season 3 comes back, it looks like Marissa, Hanna, and Carmichael will come back to take down the organization. However, there is a chance that Carmichael might still have some fight left in him.
When Will The Installment Release?
The creators have not yet announced anything about the release date for Hanna Season 3. However, keeping the previous release schedule, we can make some informed guesses. The first season released in March 2019 and the second one was released in July 2020. After that, COVID happened.
So, we can be sure that it must have affected the show’s filming schedule. Given that the creators do get into production soon, we can expect a later 2021 or early 2022 release date.
