As well as the animated series has been exalted for its unique approach to the source material. It explored the DC stories in a more comedic and immaterial way rather than its usually darker and tenacious manner. Harley Quinn made its debut on the DC Universe streaming platform on November 29, 2019, while the second season returned only a few months later. Speaking at the Masters of None podcast, the showrunner Justin Halpern revealed Harley Quinn Season 3 release date. Justin said that animation takes quite a long time to finish. So he believes that Harley Quinn Season 3 would return in late 2021 or early 2022. However, they can return soon if the production of the third season finishes early.
Harley Quinn Season 3: Has Production Started?
The executive producers Justin and Patrick Schumacker have recently revealed that production is still underway. Back in February, Patrick confirmed that the entire cast has returned to record the third season of the animated series. Patrick took on to Twitter to confirm that Diedrich Bader is back as Batman with his fellow mates.
Harley Quinn Season 3: What Will Happen Next?
Halpern, while talking about the next season, dropped some exciting details. He revealed that the upcoming season would explore a special episode focusing on Joker. As we know, Batman and Joker survived in the last season. So the writers have decided to do something with the Joker that they have never done in the past seasons. Though the creator only gave some vague details, it still hints that Harley Quinn Season 3 would follow a stand-alone Joker episode.
Harley Quinn has been praised for its unique portrayal of Joker. So, it makes sense that the writers wanted to delve into the iconic Batman villain of all time. But it’s unclear what the third season would hold for us. Perhaps, Harley might come up with some crazy and out-of-the-box idea to challenge Joker one more time in an exciting way.

But, how he would introduce and what new trauma he would bring is uncertain. Well, Mad Hatter has been a huge part of Batman that first appeared in 1948. Since then, he’s known for creating chaos in everyone’s life.
