Coronation Street Actress Teases A Regular Tenure For Her Character

Coronation Street actress Jenny Platt (Violet Wilson) is gearing up for a regular role on the show. Viewers know that Violet left Weatherfield in 2008. However, she was seen briefly in 2011. Now, she is back again in a guest appearance. But guess what? There is a high chance that she will secure a fixed role!

Previously, Violet fled Weatherfield and severed ties with Sean Tully due to differences over their son Dylan’s upbringing. Dylan has since relocated to live with his father. Currently, he is in the middle of a bullying storyline in Coronation Street. The teen is in big danger after getting framed for a knife crime.

Actress Jenny confessed that she was “very, very scared” to step back into Violet’s shoes. She expressed how it had been a significant part of her life, one that she cherished deeply. Despite the changes in the Coronation Street set, she highlighted that the familiar family atmosphere remained intact.

The soap star emphasised her fondness for the character, describing Violet as someone with heart and warmth, despite her past mistakes, making her very relatable.
