It was delightful for TLC viewers to see Jay & Pamela on screen. They are a couple who are navigating life with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, a rare type 3 fragile bone disease. The network had always been about creating awareness and having programs that highlight diverse human experiences and personal journeys. Viewers are taking a great liking towards the new couple.
At the beginning of the show itself, Jay and Pamela revealed they were engaged to be married. Since then, the show has been documenting how they are going about this new change while also dealing with their condition. As the show progresses, viewers are finding out more and more things that make the couple one of a kind.

As Jay & Pamela took over everyone’s TV screens, it was a joy to see the couple showcase their story. Together, they have Osteogenessis Imperfecta. It’s a fragile bone disease which is a rare type 3. Due to this, the duo often go through fractures because they have weak bones and its mass is also low. They also stand a a higher chance of blood clots that will go on for a lifetime.
Despite doctors giving the both of them only 5 years to live, they surpassed it and have been doing very well for themsleves. The couple has been engaged after being in a healthy relationship for half a decade. The show is also depicting how they are gearing up to walk down the aisle and say “I do” to one another. Since their engagement, Pamela has been living with Jay’s family.

Jay & Pamela are on their way to get famous after recently appearing on TLC as a brand new couple. So far in their journey, they have a lot going on. Pamela went dress shopping for her wedding with Jay. They have been engaged after a 5 year relationship. Moreover, they are also on the verge of moving out and getting a new home for themselves.
Apart from all these changes, Jay revealed something major during one of his confessionals. He said that he has been a trans man. Then, the show began depicting pictures of him from childhood in pigtails and frocks. The newbie said that he slowly began getting aware of his identity from the time he was in high school. He just lacked the words to articulate them.
Jay also said that it’s been more than five years since he’s been out to his family. He also felt grateful that he had such an accepting family as well as a partner. While all this was happening, Pamela kept looking at him lovingly and nodding in approval. Jay had said that he’s not only a proud advocate for his bone disease but also the LGBTQIA+ community.
All of that makes a little more sense now that he has come out to the TV about being trans.
