The disabled couple debuted on reality TV through the first season of their own show to share their brittle bone disease story.
Many fans got hooked on Pamela and Jay’s lives when they saw them on the screens. The trailer itself made them ask more of them. The first episode introduced them as dependent people, as Jay’s parents helped them navigate their daily lives. On the March 4 episode of Jay & Pamela on TLC, Pamela Chavez beamed joy when shopping for her bridal dress. She tried a few dresses to understand which suits her better and makes her feel like a bride. She shared that it isn’t easy for her to wear certain types of clothes because she breaks her ribs easily while wearing them.
Despite all the struggles, Pamela came out with two gorgeous gowns for rounds. The first one felt soft, and she said she may consider it. The last gown she seemed to finalize it for the wedding because she got an adoring veil with it. She saw herself in the mirror with the whole ensemble. The reality star became emotional momentarily with Jay’s mom, Renee, appreciating her.

Jay Manuel expressed his thoughts on Pamela and her brother in the “Bonding and Baggage” episode aired on April 15. He was afraid his brother-in-law would disappoint his soon-to-be wife. The preview clip showed Pamela’s excitement about her brother, saying he was finally coming to attend her wedding.
However, Jay questioned whether that’s even true. He appeared concerned for Pamela’s well-being on the upcoming nuptials. If she finds out her brother won’t make it to the big day, her world will be shattered in minutes. He doesn’t want someone close to hurt her because she is hopeful in her heart.
The episode will have Renee and Raphael announce the new apartment where Pamela and Jay will move after their marriage. The couple will also have their beloved dog Cheddar accompany them in the house. Meanwhile, Pamela is unsure of her brother and their parents. She gave an open invitation to all of them.
Pamela isn’t on good terms with her family for choosing a different life. Her mom and dad didn’t talk to her or visit her in Georgia after she left Missouri.
