That’s because Matt and Zach Roloff had quite an ugly spat with one another. It was after the latter placed an offer to take over a part of Roloff Farms. However, the patriarch was not on board with it and didn’t let his deal go through. So, the son, with the rest of his family, moved to Washington in a new house. The reality show also revealed that Matt’s other son Jeremy Roloff was also in the running to take over the farm.
Jeremy suffered the same fate as Zach. Both of them couldn’t secure Roloff Farms. The only son that remains is Jacob. However, he seemingly doesn’t wish to take over the family property. Although his father often appreciates his hard work on the farm on social media, he won’t be the heir. That’s because Matt put 16 acres of his farmland on sale. So far, there have been no offers. As a result, viewers have speculated that no one will be willing to buy the farm as there is so much history and bad blood behind it.

Apart from announcing the farm sale on his show, LPBW, and on social media, Matt Roloff also discussed his retirement. He kept emphasizing that he had taken care of the farm for 30 years. Hence, it’s high time he starts focusing on himself. The star is currently busy preparing for the pumpkin season and building a dream house for his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, on the farm. He also put up a post asking the ones interested in working on his farm to send their resumes. As per TheSun, Zach and Jeremy were seemingly upset with this update.
As Matt Roloff snubbed his sons from carrying on the legacy, they both started focussing on separate things. While Zach is living in Battleground, Washington, Jeremy got farmland of his own. Yet, they were upset at their father for wanting more employees for the farm while denying them the opportunity to look after it.
