Zach Roloff was the only child of Amy and Matt Roloff, who continued to film for Little People Big World even as an adult. However, as time passed and LPBW Season 25 premiered, the couple announced their exit from the show. There was already a lot of underlying tension between Zach and Matt following the farm feud.
Since then, Zach and Tori have been on their solo journey and have been providing an unfiltered account of themselves in their podcast show, Raising Heights. Over there, the couple talks about the things they couldn’t while filming for TLC. In a new episode, Zach finally spilled the tea and revealed the bad aspects of being on the show!
LPBW: Zach Finally Reveals Why He Couldn’t Stand Filming For The Show!
When Little People Big World premiered on TLC, Zach and his siblings were merely kids. Hence, cameras following you every day shape one’s childhood very differently. In a new episode of their podcast, Tori ended up asking her husband, Zach, what it was like filming for LPBW as a child. Well, Zach didn’t hold back while revealing brutal and shocking facts.
Zach mentioned not being able to “stand filming” when they had to do it in public places. He called it the “fishbowl effect” as a camera crew following his family meant passerby would always have their eyes on them like he was in a fishbowl. The cast member revealed how the crew would get them to sit in the middle of the restaurant with the “best view” and the “best lighting.”
Being uncomfortable with stares as he came from a Little Person family was already difficult for Zach. So, adding a camera crew to that equation wasn’t of any help. The LPBW star said there were some aspects of filming that were fun as a kid. But, when it came to going outdoors, it was something Zach always detested.
LPBW: Tori Reveals Her Kids Wanted To Protect Their Privacy! So The Family Quit Filming?
Tori and Zach have been sharing details about their lives on their own terms and not through the lens of TLC. The former LPBW stars are podcasters now. So, they are sharing tons of things that the cameras didn’t capture and air on national TV. The matriarch said how their son Jackson had to go in for a second round of surgery for some repairs, and one of the screws in his legs following the first surgery got messed up.
Well, Jackson was sure that he didn’t want “filmers” in the house or the hospital. Tori admitted how the family had not taken their son’s consent while filming his first surgery. So, they decided to respect his wishes the second time around. Fans were happy that Tori and Zach’s kids had slowly started to recognise their need for privacy.
Due to this, there have been speculations that the reason why Tori and Zach ended up quitting the show was also because of their kids. Do you agree with their theory? Tell us in the comments. Keep track of all the latest LPBW updates by checking TV Season & Spoilers.
