What to expect from Lucifer season 5 part 2
The last episode of the first part of Lucifer Season 5 ended with an epic double showdown with Lucifer as he fights Maze. Amenadiel fights the new villain of the series- Michael (Lucifer’s twin brother). This fight ends with lights coming into the office building and God standing on the top of the staircase. In the final moments, God says that That is enough. He knows that he hates when his children fight and then the season ends.
It looks like God will be sticking to Lucifer’s side for a while. On November 23rd, Lucifer’s Twitter account teased a cryptic clue about what they could expect for the Lucifer Season 5 Part 2. Check out the tweet here-
After this cryptic tweet, fans have worked out to conclude that this statement is “God’s extended stay on Earth.” We are yet to see what Michael’s end plan could be. Would he tell Lucifer to wait and see? Fans have also speculated that if the series sticks to the comic book origins, it would eventually lead to DC Universe’s creation.
We do have a few more details about what could come up in Lucifer Season 5 Part 2. From what we know is that viewers will get to see Maze’s demon face with her says that Actress Lesley-Ann Brandt who plays the character, says that she has a great scene in the second half of the series with Dennis. The actress called the scene incredible. She revealed that viewers would get to see the demonic face in the scene.
Production Status and Release Date
Most of the Lucifer Season 5 Part 2 had been completed before the pandemic paused everything. However, then Tom Ellis contradicted that report revealing that they were halfway through it. Now they are going back and start with the remaining episodes. The team is also shooting the sixth season simultaneously. The latest reports suggest that Lucifer Season 5 Part 2 started production in September 2020.
In October 2020, the creator Joe Henderson revealed that the team is deep into post-production. He revealed that all the season is coming through just fine. Henderson says that all the episodes of the fifth season have completed the post-production. He also revealed that only the finale episode of the season would take some time, given how big and expensive that episode is.
Fast forward to today, two months later, we can all hope that new episodes are all ready and will soon release.
