Alana provided an update on her Mama June’s health scare after she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. The mom hadn’t been keeping well for years, and the last couple of months made her life hell. She has pain all over her body that caused her mental breakdown, pinning down the blame on Justin. The couple fought, but he wasn’t going to give up on her so easily.

Justin rang up Alana to let her know how her mom has been reacting to her health condition. He was trying hard to stay calm around June, but she wouldn’t. After Justin called Alana to discuss Mama June’s health crisis, Alana showed up for her doctor’s appointment. Lately, Shannon wasn’t heeding her doctor’s advice, wanting to do everything on her own. She visited her doctors to be surprised by Alana’s presence in the clinic. June played it down by looking and saying, “What was Nurse Thompson doing there?”

Alana told June, “A little birdie told me that you have been hot-headed and not listening to the doctor.” The former shut down the latter’s further jokes, asking her if she was worried about a possible stroke. Honey Boo Boo knew that Justin would never ring her up unless the family faced a massive issue. So she came running to her mama from Denver to make sure she seriously listened to the doctors.

Mama June: Nurse Alana Shares An Update On June’s Medical Issue!

Alana met with her family to tell them what might be the case with Mama June and fibromyalgia. Justin, Jessica, and Pumpkin gathered around the couch to hear what nurse Alana had to say about June’s medical reports. June listened to her daughter, who suspected that some kind of fluid was accumulating. Pumpkin said she can’t figure out why Alana thinks so.

So, Alana noted that June might probably have rheumatoid arthritis (RA) because the joint lining gets excessive fluid, leading to pain and swelling. Then the future nurse wondered why her mother couldn’t move her legs and feet a little bit. To which Pumpkin revealed that their mother doesn’t listen to her doctors.

According to Alana, either June has rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. Any labs with an orthopedic doctor who specializes in RA can only give an answer. June understood the assignment Alana gave her. She seemed willing to visit a specialist upon her daughters’ concerns. But fear didn’t leave her mind. She is worried if she has lupus.

What was once a mystery illness for June is no longer the same. She very much knows she has no life-threatening disease, but it doesn’t mean her condition isn’t serious. Instead of paying heed to her physicians, she googled her symptoms to find out crazy things like losing eyesight or paralysis. Fans are glad that Alana is with June.
