The Shannon family is famously known for creating drama or being a part of it. The latest episode of Mama June: Family Crisis aired earlier this month after a break of two weeks. It was also filled with drama and despair, featuring the second part of June’s bridal shower. However, only Doe Doe, June Shannon’s sister, and her eldest daughter, Anna, attended the celebration. Mama June: Jessica’s Coming Out Celebration!
The episode kicked off featuring Mama June’s bridal shower in Alabama. Where Anna and her aunt Doe Doe Shannon were seen interacting when the aunt expressed her surprise at seeing Anna. Chickadee and Mama Shannon shared an estranged bond. To this, Anna replied that they had been talking more since her abdominal surgery for a tumor. She then mentioned that her mother’s invitation sounded more like an opportunity for mother-daughter bonding time. During the event, the Shannon family matriarch even invited Anna to participate in her upcoming wedding with Justin.
While back in Georgia, Pumpkin, Honey Boo Boo, and Josh planned a surprise for Jessica and her girlfriend, Shyann McCant. They took them to a drag show to celebrate Jessica’s “coming out.” The club’s performers took Jessica and Shyann on the stage to celebrate the former’s acceptance of her sexuality. Then, the family enjoyed taking shots, clicking pictures, and celebrating Jessica.
Mama June Reacts To Jessica’s Coming Out News!
After the bridal shower, June’s husband, Justin Stroud, expressed disappointment about her crooked relationship with her daughters. However, she seemed confident that they all would attend their wedding. Justin still insisted June put in extra effort to fix things with all her daughters. Later on, the couple went out for dinner to discuss their upcoming event when the new Mama June star Justin, found out about her daughters’ visit to the drag club and that Jessica had accepted her sexuality. To this, Mama June expressed her disappointment as she stated, “I shouldn’t be finding out my daughter’s gay over social media.”
She then continued by saying she suspected it when Jessica was merely 13 years old. The TLC celebrity claimed, “Jessica knows I love her no matter what; I just want to be included in their lives.” On their way back home, June shed a few tears, realizing her fractured relationship with her daughters. At the end of the episode, she moved her step forwards toward mending her bond with her daughters. As she wrote a long message to her kids inviting them to her wedding. She even asked them to accompany her for her wedding dress shopping and to walk her down the aisle. June Shannon took a few steps forward toward fixing things with her daughters.
