Mama June: Alana Thompson Will Undergo Weight Loss Surgery
Alana Thompson is 17-year-old, and she appeared on the show alongside her family members. As the show’s views rose, so did Alana’s public image. The TLC fans started to engage with Honey Boo Boo daily, and now Alana’s update means a lot to them. Hence, as June’s youngest daughter turned 17 last month, Alana declared she would get an injection to help her lose 125 pounds. However, TMZ revealed that the reality star Mama June expressed her disagreement and noted that her daughter could lose weight without any assistance. Similarly, Shannon said on the July 27 episode that she had no clue about her daughter’s next move.
So, as Alana is ready to make a move, her mother is deeply concerned. Mama June, who got the weight loss surgery and breast augmentation in 2018, believes it’s hard to maintain the weight. That’s because, after the surgery, Shannon gained 50 pounds, which was difficult for her. And so, in the recent episode, Alana Thompson opens up on her concern about the surgery. She is hesitant to get the gastric bypass procedure and wants to ensure it won’t kill her. Hence, the little one had many questions before the surgery and worried. However, Alana’s loving boyfriend, Dralin, is there with her.
Similarly, HollywoodLife reported that even Dralin Carswell would partake in the surgery. Alana’s rep says that the reality star and her boyfriend are going for Suture Sculpt Endoscopic Sleeve, which is safer than any other method. Apart from that, the couple is working effectively on losing weight by trimming their diet and exercising to lose more weight. However, Mama June fans are concerned for Honey Boo Boo as she is too young to get surgery.

The weight loss surgery has caused drama amongst the fans, and even June doesn’t approve of it. She wants her daughter to be at least 18 before she goes under the knife. The Suture Sculpt Endoscopic Sleeve will cost Alana an estimate of $13,000. Meanwhile, Mama June wants to postpone the surgery for her daughter. So she might talk to Honey Boo Boo’s legal guardian, Pumpkin. In addition, another reason Alana stated as she doesn’t have the energy or motivation to go to the gym.
Hence, getting gastric sleeve surgery is the easiest way to lose weight.
