Meet the Putmans was once a household name in America. This TLC original rose to fame soon after its 2017 premiere. The show chronicled the lives of the Putmans. They were a family of 25 members, all living under the same roof. Their unique co-dependent lifestyle made them very famous. However, the happy family faced the darkest tragedy a few months back.
Fans might remember the ill-fated fatal crash accident that flung the family’s life into utter chaos and darkness. That car crash took the lives of 3 of the Putmans, leaving five members severely injured. The family had to hospitalize them as they underwent various complicated surgeries. As the authorities previously promised, they have just released the latest updates on the investigation. Keep on reading to know more.

Following earlier reports, the Putmans took to Instagram and posted further updates on their condition earlier this year. In these more recent Meet The Putmans updates, they shared that Gia had challenges with her spiking blood pressure and unstable ICP. “She’s doing better now, and they’re focusing on keeping her stable and taking it one day at a time,” the update read.
Moreover, the update stated that Noah, Blake, Lulu, and Alina were recovering steadily and were no longer in mortal danger. One of the recent updates stated that “Noah is doing well in rehab…… He’s been sleeping better, talking, eating, and moving around more each day.” “Blake, Lulu, and Alena are still recovering, but we’re thankful to share that they’ve all been discharged and are doing well,” the family further shared.
The happy and happening life of Meet The Putmans stars was cut short earlier this year. The Putmans met with a gut-wrenching tragedy that shook the family. Earlier this year, on an ill-fated Friday night in Michigan, a semi-truck collided with the Putman family’s Jeep, resulting in a fatal accident. The car crash instantly took the lives of 3 members on the spot.

Bill, his wife, Barb, and daughter-in-law, Megan Putman, passed away at the scene. In the immediate aftermath, others, including Noah, Gia, Lulu, Alena, and Blake Putman, sustained very grave injuries. Shortly after, Gia’s doctor performed a craniotomy on her, and later reported her brain pressure was decreasing.
According to the county Sheriff’s office, a 55-year-old man from Florida, driving the truck, did not stop at the stop sign. Authorities had apprehended the suspect on 8 charges, including 3 for causing death in an accident. They also charged him with 5 counts of causing serious injury while driving.
Although the family is still recovering from the tragedy, the trauma burns bright in their memory. For the past few months, they have gone radio silent, grieving and recovering. According to the most recent court records, the suspect didn’t contest his conviction. The court sentenced him to one year in jail and ordered him to pay $1,425 in fines.
