The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle often find themselves embroiled in controversies. But this time, the couple has come into limelight for a really heartfelt gesture. Harry and Meghan recently spent time with the family of one of the victims of the Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas.
Moreover, it was not a tough and go visit. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry actually spent quality time with the family. The Duke and Duchess even sang “Happy Birthday” Irma Garcia’s sister. For the unversed, Irma was a schoolteacher who lost her life in the 2022 massacre. She was among the 21 people who were killed in the incident. As many would remember, an 18 year old gunman open fired at the school.
Before losing her life, Irma had worked as a schoolteacher for 23 years. Apart from being an educator, she was a wife and a mother to four children. Irma’s nephew, Martinez, took to X to share a video clip featuring Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. In the video, Meghan can be seen holding a birthday cake, and Harry stood beside her, while Irma’s family stood surrounding them.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Heartwarming Gesture
The entire family along with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sang Happy Birthday to celebrate the occasion and the special moment. In a chat with CNN Martinez shared that the Duchess brought the cake as surprise for Irma’s sister. He even posted some pictures on X, in which Meghan can be seen posing with Irma’s two daughters.
“MEGHAN MARKLE AND PRINCE HARRY CAME TO MY HOUSE!?!?!?! They’re such a beautiful couple and i’m so blessed, so glad they came to check up on the family,” he wrote on X, clearly unable to contain his joy. Furthermore, he also shared to the media that it was truly a “beautiful experience”. He referred to the Duke and the Duchess as nice. compassionate and humble.
This is not the first time Meghan Markle has visited Uvalde in regards to the shooting. Even back in 2022, she visited the town days after the incident had occurred.
