Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly left King Charles and elder brother ‘absolutely furious’ after their Nigerian tour. The couple faces criticism, with some people considering it an unofficial royal tour.
Royal expert Tom Quinn says the Prince of Wales isn’t happy. While speaking to The Mirror, he said, ‘William is absolutely furious and determined to find a way to stop this happening in the future. Charles is said to be angrier than anyone has ever seen him.’
Furthermore, Quinn talked about what really upset the royal members. The fact that Meghan and Harry were treated as if they thought this was an official tour as well. Everything that happened during their trip – the dances, receptions, school visits, and charities.
The Royal author expressed that there have always been concerns within the family that the Duke and Duchess are ‘pulling a fast one.’ He then explained that the couple’s visit to Nigeria was a bold statement: they refused to accept that they were no longer working royals.
Prince Williams and King Charles have been scratching their heads and thinking about controlling this situation. Tom further said that Charles and William believe Meghan and Harry are making a statement that they don’t need permission to be working royals.
‘We will do it on our own terms whenever and wherever we like,’ he added. The couple’s three-day trip to Nigeria began on Thursday, May 9, to speak about mental health and promote the Invictus Games.
