The feud between Prince Harry and Prince William is still very fresh and took center stage in a recent event. Although the Duke of Sussex has stepped away from the royal realm, he still strives to win over hearts. As for Prince William, he doesn’t seem to enjoy this good will act by his estranged brother. Prince Harry: The Duke Virtually Graced the Occasion!
Prince Harry virtually popped up at a charity event held at the Science Museum in London, celebrating the organisation’s 25th anniversary. He touched base with the young blood honoured by Diana Awards, named after his late mum, Princess Diana. A total of twenty changemakers from across the globe gathered around the special shindig.
Prince Harry told the winners that his late mum would be incredibly proud of all the work they had done. He added, “I’m incredibly proud, and thank you for doing everything that you do.” Moreover, he apologised for not being with the legacy winners.
The Duke expressed gratitude for “protecting” Diana’s legacy and was “seriously impressed” by their efforts. “The future’s yours, and you’re helping to shape that future,” Prince Harry declared. It looks like he really impressed the winners as one of them lauded him, “What an inspiring guy.”
The Siblings Still Don’t Look Eye to Eye!
However, Prince William didn’t buy any of this, and he had already left when Prince Harry virtually graced the event. Earlier, the Prince of Wales joined the ceremony to celebrate his late mum’s legacy. He delivered a very touching speech before handing out the awards to this year’s winners. Furthermore, William talked about how Princess Diana instilled in him the value of giving back.
He also lauded organisations like The Diana Award for empowering young changemakers. Plus, the Prince drew parallels to his late mom’s compassion and bravery. He revealed how he and Kate strived to work in Diana’s footsteps. The milestone is shared by the 50,000 young people who have received a Diana Award over the past 25 years.
But it’s interesting how he did not mention the charitable actions done by Prince Harry. In addition, there was no interaction between the royal brothers as they appeared separately to support the event. So, there’s still a lot to be sorted out. Who knows how long this rift will last?
