Vaday revealed that her mother had the “Paget’s disease of the areola.” The celeb kept it a secret and used the Drag Race as a distraction. It is a rare disease, and it is associated with breast cancer. The condition causes eczema-like patterns around the areola area, as per nhsUk.com. So, as Ella’s mother battled secretive cancer, she also has had thyroid cancer before.
So, to overcome the condition, Donna had to get a mastectomy and five rounds of chemotherapy. It was a hard decision that Donna had to take. Otherwise, it was a do-or-die situation. Ella noted that whenever a woman loses a part of herself, it gets rough on her. Therefore, the surgery hit the mother tough.
