Sister Wives: Christine Says Plural Marriage Was Hard & It Made Her Extremely Sad!

Christine and Kody’s long confrontation became the highlight of Sister Wives Season 17 premiere. While the former was fierce as ever, her husband didn’t have justifiable answers for her accusations. At last, a new promo by UsWeekly for the upcoming episodes reveals Christine’s side in terms of ending her marriage with Kody. She expressed that whenever things got tough, the star would talk herself into thinking “plural marriages are hard”. So, it was okay for her to feel “sad”. She failed to realize that the marriage was making her sadder than she could imagine. Although she tried her best to be happy and seek joy in other things, it just wasn’t enough for her to keep holding on to her bond with Kody.

Kody has his own set of reasons to be upset with Christine. He was angry that she decided to tell Janelle first about leaving instead of talking to him. This made him upset that she couldn’t come to him for such things. At last, he also admitted that “three of his wives” had threatened to leave him multiple times. He didn’t want his third wife to leave him. Instead, he encouraged her to add to the family by finding someone new but staying with them in Flagstaff. Yet, Christine had her heart set on turning over a new leaf and finally leaving the polygamist after years worth of disrespect and mistreatment.

Sister Wives: Janelle, Meri & Robyn React To Christine Leaving

While Christine and Kody had a long conversation about their marriage, it was final that the former would leave the latter. As they were in a plural marriage, this decision affected all the members, especially the Sister Wives. Hence, they took to the confessional to express how they felt about this big change in their lives. Janelle, who is the closest to Christine, stated that the couple ending their marriage was something “inevitable”. Kody’s first wife, Meri, revealed that plural marriage should be like “any other marriage”. So, if one or both parties don’t want to stay together, there is really “nothing that can be done”.

At last, Kody’s fourth and youngest wife, Robyn, said that one has to “choose every day” in a plural marriage. She feels one needs to be as happy as the other people around them in the family. For the Sister Wives star, it is the only way of pulling off a plural marriage “successfully”. Fans remain curious to know how the rest of the family, including the kids, would react to Kody and Christine’s split. Well, the upcoming episodes will reveal it all as the season progresses. Whose opinion do you agree with? Janelle, Christine, or Robyn? Tell us in the comments below. Meanwhile, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers for all the latest Sister Wives updates.
