It has been over a year since Garrison passed away, and to date, no one knows why exactly he took his life. Janelle revealed that Garrison struggled with alcohol issues. The Sister Wives star further explained that she didn’t know what exactly happened that night.
Usually, he would drink and then pass out. He would go into a radio silence phase and would not talk to anyone. But the next day, he’ll be back to his usual self. She further continued, “I don’t know. I don’t know what happened this time.”

Janelle’s Life turned upside down after her son, Garrison, passed. The youngster took his own life at the age of 25 after he shot himself with his revolver. He took his own life in his home, and his brother Gabriel found him dead in his house. Recently, Janelle recalled the difficult memory when she got to know about the unfortunate incident. The diva reveals that she vividly remembers the details.
Garrison passed away on March 5, 2024. Janelle revealed that she always used to keep in contact with him. The mother and son duo used to talk three times a day, but on the day when he took his life, he was not in touch with his mom. Janelle noticed that Garrison had stopped responding to her text, so she asked her other sons to go and check on him.
After that, she went to sleep, but in the middle of the night, she got a call. Gabrielle called her and said Garrison was gone. She could not process what he was saying and went blank. She further added that she was aware that Garrison was struggling. He had alcohol issues and even mental struggles. However, she had no idea that he would take such a drastic step.
Janelle further explained that Garrison had never been a drinker and disliked the taste of alcohol. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he started drinking. Over the last few years before his death, his issues with alcohol intensified, and he would spiral during his drunk phases. The family made multiple efforts to help him cope, but nothing worked.
