In her social media post, Janelle noted that her mother was unwell for quite some time. However, she was not prepared for this end. Sheryl passed away on the same day she turned 76.

Janelle shared the news of her mother’s passing away a week later. In the Twitter post, she wrote that one could never expect the end to happen even though ‘they have been sick for a while.’ This suggests that Sheryl has been sick for quite some time before she left for the heavenly abode. Janelle further wrote in her post that they witnessed many miracles during the last days of her mother. Janelle and her sister Carrie spent those days with Sheryl and they’re grateful for the same. Having said that, Janelle hopes to see her mom again!
Janelle And Kody Are Step Siblings Before They Married
The fans might recall that Sheryl was married to Kody Brown’s father, Winn, who passed away in 2013. She married him around the same time Janelle entered Sister Wives. The mother-daughter duo had their first plural marriage and converted to Apostolic United Brethren after failed monogamous marriages. With this being said, Sheryl appeared briefly on the TLC show. She also played a major role in Janelle getting comfortable in her plural marriage.
According to SoapDirt, Janelle was friends with Brown family long before she married Kody. Around that time, Sheryl was worried about her daughter being sucked into a cult. So, she wanted to meet the Brown family. However, after she met the Browns, she fell in love with Winn and got married before Janelle tied the knot.

Janelle revealed the sad news a week after her mother left the world. She’s grateful to have been able to spend the last days of her mother together. In fact, she credits the ‘little miracles’ for bringing her and her sister to be beside their dear mother. Signing off, Janelle notes that she’d be seeing her mother again as they believe in the eternal nature of the families. Her daughter, Maddie, gave a loving tribute to her grandmother.
