Janelle Brown has always been the hardest working spouse in the Sister Wives family. She would try her best to make sure to keep the Browns together. However, things changed. She and Kody Brown stopped seeing eye to eye and had many nasty spats and ugly confrontations. Hence, they separated by the time the Tell All premiered. Fans were positive that the patriarch would be sensitive enough not to let his and Janelle’s kids get affected by this change. After all, in many divorces, parents make sure to co-parent their kids while keeping their differences aside. But that hasn’t been the case for Kody.
In a recent Instagram post, Janelle Brown shared pictures with her son, Garrison, and Gabriel. They gathered to see the new Indiana Jones movie. All of them were all smiles as they posed from the car. While it was clear they were spending some quality family time, it irked the Sister Wives fans that Kody was missing. Many pointed out that since his separation, Kody hasn’t been making efforts to meet up with the rest of his kids. In fact, he has only kept himself limited to his only wife, Robyn, and their five children. So, fans began slamming Kody again for not being a good role model to his sons.

There was a rather intense moment in Sister Wives Season 16. It happened after Robyn and Kody Brown had initiated strict COVID-19 protocols to keep the Browns safe. However, they ended up contradicting themselves for inviting the nanny over at all times to help with the kids. Amidst this, all the other kids apart from Robyn’s would get upset as they hadn’t seen their father for a long time. Then, Gabe and Garrison having an active social life also bothered Kody, and he gave them an ultimatum to abide by his rules. Things got so bad that the patriarch also threatened to kick Janelle’s sons out of the house for disrespecting him.
That’s when Mama Janelle stepped in to protect her kids. She argued that Kody could never do such a thing as her name was on the lease and not the latter’s. Then in the next season, the castmate also forgot Gabe’s birthday, and he broke down in front of the cameras. Because of these incidents, fans feel that Kody has maintained his distance from Janelle’s sons ever since their relationship worsened in the past years.
