Mykelti has always stood up for Kody and defended him. She also gained her fair share of criticism for protecting him but never stopped. However, this time, she reached her limit. Sister Wives stars Mykelti and Tony have been married for years and take pride in being the parents of toddlers. He is a professional chess player. The couple even shifted to North Carolina after Tony got an opportunity to be a chess coach at an institution in NC. In his recent Instagram post, he shared a glimpse of his ‘intense’ profession.
Tony shared that he was playing in a tournament. These tournaments are very intense and go on for hours. He shared that Mykelti gets bored of his matches as she can’t concentrate for long.

Sister Wives star Mykelti Brown is the only Brown kid who has, time and again, stood up for Kody. However, even she reached her limit. In December 2024’s Tell-All, Kody crossed all the lines and called his ex-wives and kids nasty, bullies, and a lot of other things. Mykelti further wished he was more respectful about his wives and kids. She also mourned the loss of a father she once knew.
Mykelti added that growing up, she saw a different Kody. He was very respectful towards his wives and kids. He was loving and caring, but things changed after he met Robyn. She elaborated that she is no longer in contact with Robyn. None of his other kids watches the show. Only Gwen and she watch Sister Wives. Mykelti adds that she is disappointed in Kody.
Mykelti further shared that she wished he was more loving towards them. Growing up, she had no love from Kody, which she felt was unfair. She broke down in tears as she talked about her experience with Kody. She further addressed the fan questions and Kody’s awful behavior. The Sister Wives star seldom appears on the show but is often seen talking about it. She is more focused on her kids and husband.
Mykelti also addressed that Kody should not have accused his wives of trash-talking. They were simply venting out their feelings and giving their opinion. It was not trash-talking in any sense. Kody’s behavior disappointed her, and she finally voiced her opinions against him. Kody and Robyn have not reacted to Mykelti’s breakdown.
