The plural marriage arrangement of the Brown family hasn’t been going what its patriarch initially thought. He’s having trouble with half of his wives. Things seemed to have changed right after Robyn Brown became a part of the Sister Wives dynamic. A lot of fans feel that Kody brown prioritizes his youngest bride over others. Well, the two of them do have a good relationship, and even Robyn is happy to be Kody’s wife.
However, everything wasn’t sunshine and rainbows for Robyn before. For those who don’t know, she was married to someone else before Kody and had gotten divorced. In a recent episode of the TLC show, she finally opens up a little about her past. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
Sister Wives: Robyn Reveals Her Previous Marriage, Says It Was Painful
As of today, Robyn seems to be the only wife that gets any sort of love from the Sister Wives patriarch Kody Brown. Well, he has been accused of favoritism towards the youngest wife a lot of times in the past. It’s evident that Robyn is happy in this relationship despite its nature. However, this isn’t her first marriage. The 42-year-old was married to some called David Jessop from 1999 until their divorce in 2007. The two of them had three children together.
Later on, Robyn got into the Sister Wives situation when she met Kody Brown. They got spiritually married to each other in 2010, while the legal marriage took place in 2014. Kody had to adopt Robyn’s kids, due to which he divorced his legally wedded first wife, Meri Brown. In the latest episode of the popular TLC show, the fourth bride opened up about her previous relationship and shared her tragic experience.
Robyn talked about how she and Kody barely have any fights. In fact, she could even count their number of ‘real fights’ on her fingers. However, things were very different in her previous marriage. The fourth wife explained that there was a lot of fighting in her past relationship with a lot of pain too. When she finally got divorced, Robyn promised herself that if she ever marries again, she’ll be more cautious and careful that time. Well, it seems like she did find what she desired. Even though Kody mistreats and disvalues the other Sister Wives, the youngest one remains his priority.
Sister Wives: What Happened To Robyn’s Ex-Husband David Jessop?
Robyn has previously accepted that her marriage with David Jessop was extremely abusive. The years that she spent with her ex-husband were very tough on her. She finally got divorced from him and held the custody of her children. However, reports say that later on, Jessop stopped seeing his kids and terminated his parental rights. As a result, Kody adopted the children who are now part of the big Brown family.
On the other hand, Jessop was reported to have been arrested back in 2018. Radar Online reveals that he was charged for assault of a partner or family member, causing bodily injury. However, he was eventually pleaded not guilty, and his charge downgraded to disorderly conduct. Robyn’s ex-husband David Jessop was only arrested for a few days, and there are no reports on where he currently is.
