Kody Brown’s relationship with his and Janelle’s boys, Gabriel and Garrison, has been strained since 2020. The estrangement began when the boys resisted their father’s rules and restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. This further ruined the Brown family patriarch’s relationship with his then-second wife.
Now that Janelle has called it quits with Kody in Sister Wives Season 18, she often talks openly about her sons’ relationship with her former husband. During a recent interview with the USWeekly, she disclosed that Gabriel and Garrison’s bond with their father had not improved.
Janelle reveals that “There’s still not a lot of movement,” continuing that neither of the parties has made any efforts to fix things. The reality TV star later expressed her desire that her boys and former partner should make peace with each other.
Later, during the conversation, Janelle oozed confidence, stating that time would heal all their differences. She even added that things between Kody and their boys will change for good. The single mom is still hopeful that their relationship will improve with time.

Gabriel continued seeing his girlfriend while Garrison continued heading out of the home for both his work and socializing. This made Kody boil with aggression, and he even tried to throw his boys out of Janelle’s house.
Thankfully, Janelle continued supporting her kids by not falling for his strict rules and regulations. However, she made numerous attempts to make Kody understand their boys’ side, but it was of no help. Even now, the Sister Wives star continues hoping that things between them will change for good.
However, it seems quite difficult, as Kody is completely occupied with Robyn and his younger kids. While both Garrison and Gabriel are busy in their respective adult lives. Moreover, they no longer feel the need to have a father figure in their lives.
