Both will follow their own lead. Layton, along with Miss Audrey, risks themselves for Big Alice. On the other side, Wilford sticks to his own plan.

They, therefore, need two engines at the same time. Mel informs Wilford about the supply need for the mission. Both Alex and Mel are paired with each other.
Andre and Mel further meet with Wilford at the border. There they have a deal about the supplies. Wilford wants to accept the deal, but he does not want to look weak; therefore, he delays the acceptance.
Mel further meets with Alex. She has a whole bunch of questions to ask. Andre and Bennett come to the term that they will no longer hide anything from each other. All they want is Mel to stay safe.
The train starts. However, it starts to lose speed in the middle. Mel and Alex both are worried about each other. They thoroughly make sure to look after and help whenever the opposite needs it. By the end, we see both of them confessing love for each other.
