Coronation Street veteran actress Sue Nicholls has renewed her Corrie contract, promising her another year at Weatherfield. This year, the soap star will begin the 46th year of association with the show since 1979. A source confirmed the news, “The thought of cobbles without Sue and Audrey is not worth thinking about.” They added, “Bosses are thrilled she’s agreed to stay for another year.”

The Coronation Street actress’ journey was full of ups and downs on the show. However, she continued to stay engaged in some of the big hugelines. Sue debuted in 1979 but soon left and took a two-year break. Perhaps she secured a permanent spot in 1985. Audrey has been part of engaging storylines such as surviving son-in-law Richard Hillman’s murder attempts, battling mental health, and trying to end her life. A source revealed that Audrey’s moving on part will play an important part in the entire Corrie journey. 

Now, the soap actress has added her name to the list of her other veteran co-stars like Bill Roache, Sally Dynevor, and Michael Le Vell. Coronation Street star Michael has marked his 41 years as Kevin, while Sally has been a part for 38 years.
