When fans first met Garinger, he starred in the Teen Mom predecessor, 16 And Pregnant. He was in a relationship with Selena Gutierrez. The couple went on to have two daughters, Dareli and Esmi. But they parted ways in the end.
Since he departed from the show, Garinger has been living with his mother. He was a 20-year-old with unlimited hobbies and a good heart. Unfortunately, the star ended up passing away in a tragic accident. PEOPLE’s reports reveal he had been in an ATV accident, which was the cause of his untimely death.
Garinger’s mother, Mary Hobbs, had revealed the details of the accident. She told TheSun he was trying to “move (the ATV) from one parking spot to the next.” Garinger was trying to help his mother park her car. Unfortunately, the rain and mud had wet the ground. So it “gave way” as soon as Garringer “pulled in front” of Mary to “park the ATV.” The ATV had flipped, crushing the star’s skull.
Mary told the outlet that she had run “to the neighbors” to get help for her son, but no one did. When she returned, she “realized” the Teen Mom’s predecessor, the 16 And Pregnant star, was dead. Mary had “laid next to” Garinger till the ambulance arrived. She had called him her “rock” and “strength.”

After the news, PEOPLE contacted the Watauga County Sherriff’s office. Major Kelly Redmon confirmed that they had responded to the call and had sent Boone Fire Department officials. Watauga Medics were also present. Major Kelly also confirmed Garinger as the ATV accident’s victim.
The Watauga County Sherriff’s office also released a statement. As per the Watauga document reports, the office expressed heavy “sorrow for the loss.” The Teen Mom’s predecessor, 16 And Pregnant Star’s obituary affectionately referred to him as “Squishy.” It also called him a “military brat who touched lives all around the country.” The obituary also called him “kind and generous.
Garinger’s obituary revealed he “had a passion for living life to the fullest.” His hobbies included sky diving, driving RC cars and dirt bikes, shark diving, flying drones, surfing, driving ATVs, and spending time in the ocean.” He had an “adventurous spirit and love for excitement.” Garinger’s living relatives are his two daughters, his mother, and six sisters.
