Teen Mom star Maci Bookout is going through numerous sequences of happenings these days. She recently took a step to conquer her fears. Born on August 10, 1990, the Leo personality Maci became pregnant during her teen phase with then-boyfriend Ryan Edwards and gave birth to their son Bentley Cadence on October 27, 2008. The two got engaged in 2009 but subsequently ended their relationship in 2010.

Later, from the dark days came the bright days. Though her previous relationship could not last, fate granted her another love of life. In 2012, she started seeing Taylor Mckinney. The man proposed to her in 2016 in California, and they got married. They also got blessed with a daughter, Jayde Carter.

Now, Maci is trying to overcome her fears and heal her mental health from trauma in history. But what caused the trauma? How did she try to recover? Let us know the details.

Teen Mom: Maci Bookout Tries To Cure Her PTSD

In her past, the 30-year-old Teen Mom star got into a life-threatening situation. In October 2020, once, when Maci was about to go pick up her son Bentley to celebrate his birthday with a small group of people, she got involved in a gas station shooting that also became the cause for her PTSD.

On her way, she stopped at a gas station during which the shooting took place. As Hollywoodlife.com reported, Maci decided to hide in the bathroom to keep herself safe. She then called her husband Taylor McKinney, and he immediately rushed to the scene.

The incident had been so traumatic for Maci that Taylor requested the producers not to film her. Meanwhile, she was under therapy and treatment. Recently, her therapist asked her to revisit a gas station and face her fears. She also felt that she was ready for this.

In the Teen Mom OG episode broadcasted on September 21, the viewers saw Maci torn to tears. She reached the gas station along with her husband, Taylor. While sitting in the car she broke down with terror. Nevertheless, it is worth appreciating that she gave a try to recover from PTSD( Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

This disorder is a mental health issue that is caused by triggering effects from the past. It can make a person feel nervous or anxious or might lead to painful flashbacks. Maci’s endeavors show her brave step towards working positively on her mental health.

Fans SLAM Maci For Trying To Fill Her Pockets With Clickbait Post On Gabby’s TRAGIC case

On September 22, Maci made a post highlighting “#GabbyPetito Boyfriend #BrianLaundrie FOUND!?!”. This has infuriated fans a lot. Maci tried to take advantage of the trending news about the tragic death of Gabby Petito and the revolving concern of people as to what exactly happened.

Fans have brutally slammed Maci for creating a pocket-filling clickbait post. These posts are designed to attract attention and to entice users to follow that link and read, view, or listen to the linked piece of online content is typically deceptive or misleading.

However, after seeing Bookout’s clickbait link on her Instagram stories, many people expressed their outrage at the “distasteful” post. Teen Mom Fanz wrote in their caption, stating that a “family is grieving and the world is watching.” Moreover, one said, “So, Maci can’t make a post to bring awareness about #GabbyPetito, but she can make clickbait and profit off of this tragedy,”

It does not seem right on the part of the Teen Mom Fame to clip such money-making stuff on the record. However, her bravery and effort to cope up with PTSD has inspired many to follow in her footsteps. Do you think Maci will chin up in her fans’ eyes after taking a positive step? Let us know in the comment section.
