Nathan Griffith faced arrest for attempting to strangle his sister and pleaded guilty to the charge in September 2023. To avoid conviction, the Teen Mom star only needed to comply with the Veteran Court program’s rules for 36 months However, he was recently kicked out for not adhering to the programming rules and policies.
On July 2, the program booted Nathan for “non-compliance with the Veterans Treatment Court Program.” Apparently, Nathan broke the rules regarding the prohibition of the use of drugs and alcohol. This non-compliance now means Nathan faces a permanent conviction for “Attempted Battery by Strangulation.” With his dismissal from the Veteran’s Court, he will return to District Court for sentencing, where the court will decide whether to classify it as a felony or gross misdemeanor.
On July 11, a judge ordered Nathan to remain in county jail until July 25. According to Nevada Revised Statutes, he could now face a prison sentence ranging from a minimum of two years and a maximum of 15 years, along with fines. Nathan’s case was originally moved to Veteran’s Court from District Court due to his service in the U.S. Marines Corp. However, his failure to comply with the program’s rules has landed him in serious legal trouble.
