Ryan Edwards first appeared on the show as Maci Bookout’s boyfriend. But their relationship didn’t last. Even if he was a recurring cast member on Teen Mom, the show documented his journey as he co-parented his kids. At the same time, he also found love again in Mackenzie Edwards but their relationship was far from perfect.
In their entire marriage, they have filed for divorce twice and continue to fight. As per the current scenario, Ryan has been trying to fight for temporary custody of his kids. The documents about the same filed to the court recently became public. So what did the celebrity have to say about this?
Teen Mom: Ryan Edwards Wants Temporary Custody Of His Kids! Files Paperwork
Ryan Edwards never had a good reputation as a reality TV star on 16 And Pregnant at first and later Teen Mom. He found love twice, first in Maci Bookout and then in Mackenzie Edwards, and it did not work. Now, the former couple has been trying to co-parent their kids, but things keep getting difficult for them.
Ryan and his attorney recently filed for a “Motion to Adopt a Temporary Parenting Plan.” As per the celeb, he was getting to meet his kids, Jagger and Stella, at his mother, Jen Edward’s home. But he’s not being able to do it anymore as their mother, Mackenzie, is not allowing so. So, his paperwork read that the mother had “recently” said no to Ryan exercising any “parenting time” with his minor kids.
Hence, Ryan is in hopes that the Judge will help him figure out a plan that would allow him to get access to his kids. He also wants his ex-wife to pay the legal fees which will be the outcome of this filing. While Mackenzie has not filed anything back in return the former pair will show up in court in July 2024. The kids visited the Teen Mom star a few weeks ago but not since then.
Teen Mom: Court Has Already Granted Restraining Order To Mackenzie & Ryan!
Mackenzie has claimed to have been fearful of her and her kids’ lives due to her ex Ryan. Following this, she asked the court to let them have a “protective order.” However, the officials dismissed this request due to “prejudice.” Instead, the court ordered a “mutual restraining order” for both Ryan and Mackenzie. The former couple is not to “contact each other” for two years.
The same order also said that Mackenzie and Ryan’s current and future partners, as well as employers, can’t contact each other. But the former has permission to be in contact with her ex’s parents in order to come up with a schedule for visitation rights involving kids. But that, too, seems to be going unfairly, as mentioned in Ryan’s petition.
As of now, Ryan already has a new girlfriend, Amanda, and he has been living with her. While the court specifically ordered them not to get involved, Mackenzie and Amanda are often taking digs at each other online. Keep track of all the latest Teen Mom news by checking TV Season & Spoilers.
