Ryan Edwards has been making headlines since the premiere of MTV’s popular reality TV show, Teen Mom. Ryan joined the hit series in 2009 alongside Maci Bookout. However, things became worse with time as he suffered from substance abuse. Edward’s drug addiction not only affected his relationship with Maci but deeply impacted his equation with Mackenzie Standifer, whom he married in 2017.
Well, here the drama keeps going even after the camera rolls out! Ryan was reportedly arrested multiple times for drug possession. Moreover, he was also charged with stalking and violating an order of protection for his ex-wife Mackenzie. As per recent reports, the troubled Teen Mom star was hospitalized as he was spotted unconscious and unresponsive.
Teen Mom: Ryan Edwards Hospitalized, Sent Back Behind Bars For Doing Drugs
On April 7, the infamous reality TV star was rushed to a local hospital as his vehicle hit the curb and stopped moving. Ryan, 35, is back behind bars after being released from the hospital for the charge of possession of drugs and driving under the influence on Friday midnight. The police found him at 12:06 am and used a lookout kit to open the car door. They rushed him to the hospital in an ambulance.
The Teen Mom star was immediately given Narcan when moved to the ambulance and regained consciousness. As per the police, Ryan Edwards confirmed that he had snorted a powder before the accident but refused to take the blood test. The officials revealed that they found a crystal-type substance on him. There was also some sort of blue powder in small bags through a quick search of the 35 year old star. Also, the officials discovered a paper receipt all rolled up in Ryan’s pocket. Right now, he is in custody and will probably appear in court on April 20 for the hearing.
Teen Mom: Ryan Has A Long History of Substance Abuse & Harassment
Ryan’s long history of substance abuse and addiction plays a major role in his troubles. His recent arrest reportedly comes from his past deeds. He was arrested on February 10 and March 1 for possessing controlled substances and violating the order of probation by harassing Mackenzie. On March 14, Judge Gary Barnes dismissed multiple charges against the Teen Mom star, including drug possession, stalking, and violating the order of protection. On top of that, he suggested Ryan complete six months in a rehabilitation facility to get away from all the charges of substance possession.
The Teen Mom star agreed to visit rehab, avoid all sorts of contact with Mackenzie, and wear a GPS tracker. However, Edwards got arrested by the Chattanooga State Police for violating probation and harassing his ex-wife, Mackenzie. Ryan’s doesn’t look bright to many after all this mess.
