Tyler is now looking back at the time when, in Teen Mom season 6, he made a comment on Catelynn’s weight. The couple has had a bumpy ride in their relationship. They were together since they were teens, but they broke up a few times. However, they found their way back to each other. In an episode, while Catelynn was eating chicken and cheese, Tyler had asked her to look out for her weight. Now, Tyler is regretting his actions.

In the recent episode of Ty & Cate Break It Down, the Teen Mom alum shared that he was way too hard on Catelynn. In season 6, Cate gave birth to their daughter, Nova. At that time, she was wondering about how to lose weight as they also had a newborn. Tyler made a very insensitive comment on Catelynn’s weight, and he, to date, regrets it. The couple was recently looking back to their most cringeworthy moments in the show.
As Catelynn was eating, Tyler asked her how many Weight Watchers points the meal would be considered. The former replied that it would be seven points. Tyler said, “That’s a big-a** quesadilla.” Here’s when it all started. As the conversation moved on, Tyler encouraged her to do what she liked as it was her body. However, he quipped, “Obviously, I don’t want no heifer for a wife, but you know.”
The comment was very insensitive, and even the producers interfered. Tyler was young back then, and he said to the producers, “Would you wanna be married to some big heifer?” Now, Tyler accepted that he said it in the wrong way. They talked about her weight, but it was awkward. He confessed, “I messed up tremendously.” Catelynn told her husband, “You’ll never be able to live that down.”
Tyler justified that his intentions were not wrong but the way he said they were. He also shared that the producers edited the show in the wrong way.
