The Bold and The Beautiful is currently riding high on the massive pat of approval it has won from its loyal fanbase. Earlier, when B&B first put forth Bill and Sheila’s romance, fans literally balked at the idea of seeing their beloved Bill Spencer eating right of the she devil’s palm. No one, and we repeat, no one, could bring themselves to accept them as an actual, happily-ever-after couple. However, The Bold and The Beautiful pleasantly surprised the fans by the latest twist in the tale. Fans are rejoicing that Bill had been faking all along. But that brings us to a very crucial and scary question. What if Bill decides not to take off the sword necklace? Are we about to get the big bad wolf back permanently?
Bill Channeled His Inner Pirate To Lure Sheila
Gone were those days when Bill was a terrifying man on The Bold and The Beautiful. The publishing mogul had turned a new leaf and left behind his ways of throwing people off flying helicopters! However, when Sheila Carter entered his life in a romantic capacity, he slowly started to let his old colors take over him. Not just that, he even fished out his iconic sword necklace and put it back on. Making it crystal clear that the old Bill was back and would not stop at anything to get what he wants.
To support his claims of going back to his old ways, he even pulled some rather questionable stunts. Like winning Sheila a get-out-of-jail card. He went to the extent of menacingly threatening Finn and Steffy to not testify against Sheila. In fact, Bill recently admitted that to make this all happen, he had to reach for things in his life that he had put away long ago. Now, even if he and Ridge succeed in accomplishing their mission and put Sheila behind bars for good, what will happen to Bill. Deep down he still feels abandoned by Brooke and Katie. That part was not a lie. What if Bill decided to leave his Dark Mode on?
Bill Decides To Remain Dark To Shelter His Heart On The Bold and The Beautiful
Actor Don Diamont has stated in older interviews that Bill has self-loathing tendencies on The Bold and The Beautiful. There are some really insecure parts of him, and he wields his power and pirate attitude to keep those parts safe. However, previously Bill decided to take off his sword necklace, signifying that his days in living in the dark were over. The love he had tasted with Brooke and Katie had given him the hope that he could have a better and a happier life as a reformed man.
Alas! Things couldn’t stay the same for Bill forever on The Bold and The Beautiful. Eventually, he lost his shot with both Logan sisters, Brooke and Katie. That really broke something inside him. Even though, right now, it feels that all the “darkness” and talks about being abandoned were a charade to trap Sheila, not all of it might be a lie. Bill surely does feel abandoned by Brooke and Katie. And after Sheila’s chapter is done and dusted, he might sit and take inventory of his own life. He might realize that being “good” did not really give him much. Thus, he may decide that life at least was more fun when he ran on the wrong side. This may trip a switch in Bill, and he may decide to go back to his Bad Bill days for real!
