“Those we love and lose are always connected by heartstrings into infinity.” The Young And The Restless star Neil Winters, aka Kristoff St. John, passed away on February 3, 2019, and we cannot believe it has been three years. An autopsy attributed his death to hypertrophic heart disease. Kristoff was a great man; he might have gone too soon but won’t be soon forgotten. Everyone loved him in his professional life and he also had strong connections with them outside the show too.
Kristoff was a man of his promises and relationships. And his co-stars will miss him a lot. The Young And The Restless aired a special tribute episode for him too. About a year after Kristoff’s death, Joshua Morrow, aka Nick Newman, spoke about him and said, “one of the hardest deaths I ever experienced. I loved him. He was my brother. He’d been through some stuff, so a lot of it was about rooting for him so badly. Wanting him so badly to get some peace in his life and to be able to just enjoy living again. Probably 15 of us have been there a really long time, and we see each other as much as our normal families.”
Last May, The Young And The Restless aired a special tribute to their fallen family member. The show tweeted, “Today and every day we remember the life and legacy of Neil Winters and Kristoff St. John.” Young & Restless took onto their Twitter and posted a picture of Kristoff St. John, and they wrote, “Always in our hearts!” There were a lot of comments indicating that fans still miss him. One of the fans wrote, “Miss Kristoff on #YR. He was a very talented actor. It makes my heart happy that #YR honors him throughout the year through photos on the set.”
Another comment said, “Rest Easy, Kristoff Folded hands. Still hard to believe you’re gone. You are so very missed on Y&R Crying face, but precious memories of you will forever remain a part of the show. It warms my heart Purple heart to still see your picture on display of the set.” These comments show how much fans miss their Neil Winters.
