The Young and The Restless recently showcased the Bicentennial Gala. The big bash has acted as the backdrop for the soap’s glorious 50th-anniversary celebration. Many prominent characters from Y&R’s past joined the current cast for the festivities. However, viewers couldn’t help but notice that some integral characters from the CBS soap were missing. In fact, they are in the middle of this really fleshy storyline that has taken a very joyful turn. Thus, the Bicentennial Gala would have served as the perfect opportunity for them to reveal their big news. However, the two are nowhere to be seen. The Young and The Restless stars, Camryn Grimes And Cait Fairbanks, were very much a part of the 50th-anniversary photo shoot of the soap. But, they are nowhere to be seen in the Bicentennial Gala as Mariah and Tessa. The couple has just received the biggest news that is set to change their lives in the happiest way possible. In the March 3, 2023, episode of The Young and The Restless, Mariah shared with her mother, Sharon, that Delphine has given birth to the baby that she is adopting with Tessa. Later, at the Bicentennial Gala, Sharon showed the pictures of the baby to everyone.
Is It The End Of The Road For Maria & Tessa On The Young and The Restless?
This left us wondering why Sharon was revealing the big news to everyone on The Young and The Restless. Why wouldn’t the soap let Mariah and Tessa do it? The couple often slides back to the back seat of the soap and only makes fleeting appearances every now and then. Now it appears that the showrunners are doing it again. The couple just became moms, this should have been their moment! They should have been shown celebrating the soap’s milestone alongside their own personal one. The Y&R fans are seething at the absurdity of it and wondering if the soap is deliberately snubbing Camryn and Cait.
Both actresses attended the off-screen festivities of The Young and The Restless. So then why weren’t they present for the on-screen one? Especially when Y&R brought back so many past characters, why would they not include Camryn as Mariah? She has been part of the show for nearly 26 years.
