The Young and The Restless has ruled American Daytime Television for five glorious decades! That’s a feat that calls for a massive celebration. And keeping that in view, ever since the 50th season kicked in, the makers have been giving the viewers many surprises in form of bringing back some fan-favorite characters from the past. We recently saw actor Michael Damian return to GC as the rockstar Danny Romalotti. Apart from him, actor Michael Graziadei revived his role of Danny and Phyllis’ son, Daniel. After which, his wife and daughter, Heather and Lucy, played by actresses Vail Bloom and Lily Brooks O’ Briant, also appeared in a cameo.
However, this is not all! We are now fast approaching the grand 50th-anniversary celebrations on The Young and The Restless. And many loved characters from the past decades will joining the current characters for the extravagant event! Over the past weeks, many names have surfaced as plausible returns for the celebrations, and we have reported them all to you. Michael Damian As Danny Romalotti
Like we mentioned earlier, Michael already revived his role as Danny for a short visit to GC around Christmas on The Young and The Restless. However, he will once again be returning as Danny to attend the grand celebrations of the CBS soap that have won him immense popularity amongst fans. We are also hoping that when he returns, he might also want to bring back his rockstar days from the past! The Young And The Restless: Anthony Pena As Miguel Rodriguez
Actor Anthony Pena portrayed the role of Miguel Rodriguez on The Young and The Restless. He entered the soap in 1984 as a butler in The Newman Household. All through his time on the CBS soap, he remained a loyal ally to Victor Newman. His character was quite popular amongst the fans in the 90s and long-time viewers will be up for a treat with his return for the 50th Anniversary Celebrations. Also, since he always worked so closely with Victor, it would be amazing to see a reunion between them! So we are really looking forward for this one!
Patty Weaver As Gina Roma
Actress Patty Weaver played the character of Gina Roma on The Young and The Restless. Her character was first introduced on the soap in 1982. Patty continued to portray the character till she made an exit from the soap in 2009. Gina is Danny Romalotti’s sister on Y&R. She served five years in prison and, after getting released, decided to walk the straight and narrow. With the help of her brother, Danny, she bought a restaurant and started running it as Gina’s. Patty is all set to return to The Young and The Restless as Gina for the 50th-anniversary celebrations.
The Young And The Restless: Veronica Redd as Mamie Johnson
Actress Veronica Redd played the character of Mamie Johnson on The Young and The Restless. The character was introduced on the CBS soap in 1980. However, actress Veronica Redd started portraying Mamie in 1990 and continued to portray her till 2004, when the character fell off the screen. Mamie was the housekeeper of the Abbott household but was famously known as the mother figure to the Abbott family. So it will be a wonderful reunion for her and the Abbotts when she returns for the 50th Anniversary celebrations.
Barbara Crampton As Leanna Love
Barbara Crampton portrayed Leanna Love, a celebrity journalist, on The Young and The Restless. The character was first introduced in 1987 on the soap and stayed on till 1993. After that, she made a few appearances between 1998-2002 and again in 2006 and 2007. She became involved with Jack Abbott when he hired her to write an expose on Victor Newman. She stirred the pot many times during her stints on the soap. So we are really looking forward to what she does when returns for the big celebrations.
The Young And The Restless: Tricia Cast As Nina Webster
Actress Tricia Cast portrayed the character of Nina Webster on The Young and The Restless. She was the quintessential bad girl on the soap. She even went on to win a Daytime Emmy Award for her fabulous portrayal of the character. Nina had numerous affairs with several bad as well good boys of the CBS soap, including Ryan McNeil and David Kimble. However, later Nina reformed her ways and started to walk on the right side of the line. She was last seen on the soap in November 2020. It would be nice to see the gorgeous Tricia reprise her role as Nina one more time!
