Multiple Emmy – nominee, actress Melissa Claire Egan is a much-loved star of The Young and The Restless! She has been winning hearts and nominations for her character Chelsea Lawson since 2011. The Young and The Restless star just turned another year wiser today! Older? Not so much! Just one look at her, and you’ll know that Melissa Claire Egan just doesn’t age! (we wonder how, though!) The actress was born on September 28, 1981, in Pound Ridge, New York, U.S. The actress grew up as a middle child with two brothers, Ryan and Scott. Melissa graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s degree in Dramatic Art.
Melissa started her career with guest appearances in several prominent shows, such as Dawson’s Creek and One Tree Hill. Later, in 2006, she debuted on the daytime soap opera All My Children as Annie Novak Chandler. However, in January 2011, she released a statement on her Facebook page stating, “After 4 and a half incredible years as a member of the All My Children cast, I have made the extremely difficult decision to leave the Pine Valley family that I have come to love and respect so much.” Later, in October 2011, Melissa joined The Young and the Restless as a mystery woman, Chelsea Lawson, involved in Billy Abbott’s arrest. And there has been no looking back for her ever since!
On the personal front, The Young and The Restless actress is happily married to her husband, Matt Katrosar. The couple got engaged in January 2013 and later tied the knot of holy matrimony in Santa Barbara on July 26, 2014, in an interfaith service. In August 2021, She, alongside her husband, welcomed their firstborn son and named him Caden Robert. Interestingly, Little Caden is quite popular on his momma’s Instagram account! Melissa’s fans love and adore the little bundle of joy a lot and are always looking forward to seeing him on the Instagram feed!
