Diane is having a tough time keeping Jeremy Stark at bay on The Young and The Restless. Even with Jack and Kyle by her side, Jeremy keeps slipping back in through the cracks. Previously, on Y&R Jack offered him a million dollars to leave Diane alone. Assuming that Jeremy was after her for the money she owed him. However, it seems that is not all that Jeremy wants, as he swiftly declined the generous Abbott money. Looks like, it will not be so easy for Diane to get Jeremy out of her hair, especially now that actor James Hyde’s contract has been extended!
Yes, that’s right, Jeremy Stark is indeed here to stay. In a chat with Soap Opera Digest, the talented actor revealed that earlier, his role was supposed to be for only one episode. However, things have changed on The Young and The Restless. James shared that earlier on, he received an email from the production that was unclear. He didn’t know whether or not the role goes forward after one episode. He took up the part as it was a fresh character, and no one had portrayed it earlier. James pointed out that the makers were of the view that they will “Put him out there and see what happens.” Seems like they have received rave reviews for the handsome devil! Since they did not just stretch the character beyond one episode, but even extended James’s contract!
There’s More To Jeremy Stark Than What Meets The Eye On The Young And The Restless
Now that we know there will be a lot more of Jeremy Stark on The Young and The Restless, it makes us wonder a few things. The initial terror that we saw on Diane’s face, seems to be more “floating” now. It only comes to the surface when other people are around. Otherwise, all by their lonesome, Diane does not look scared of Jeremy putting a knife to her throat. So, is it something else that Diane is scared of, other than her life? Besides, If Jeremy wanted to kill her, he could’ve by now. And, if it was just about the money, Jack’s million dollars would have sufficed. So, what really is he after?
Before Diane came back to Geona City on The Young and The Restless, she had this whole life in L.A. A life that Jeremy Stark was part of. It is safe to assume that there is plenty that he may be in the know of that Diane doesn’t want to be revealed. After all, who is Diane Jenkins without her secrets, right? Considering, that the only times she tenses up in front of Jeremy is when other people are around. Specifically Jack and Kyle! It won’t be such a stretch to assume that perhaps her secret is more personal in nature. What if Jeremy doesn’t just want “something” from Diane, but, wants Diane herself?
Things have just started to heat up between Jack and Diane on The Young and The Restless, and if a bomb like that was to drop, it could completely blow up her chances with Jack. He has let all her past mistakes slide and has started to let her back in. But, if he finds out that Diane is STILL keeping secrets from him and lied about her “relationship” with Jeremy, he will surely lose his cool. Or, in another twist, we may watch Jack and Jeremy go head to head for Diane. We wonder which of the two it may be!
