Talented actor Jordi Vilasuso, who played Rey Rosales on The Young and the Restless has associated himself with a great humanitarian cause. It is always so heartening to see our beloved celebrities involving themselves with social causes. As celebrities, they enjoy a great fan following. Consequently, they get placed in a position of great influence. When their fans see them associate themselves with acts of the greater good, they, too, feel motivated to make a difference in their own capacity. And that’s just beautiful!
The Young and The Restless Star’s Humanitarian Cause.
The Young and The Restless alum, Jordi Vilasuso, has joined forces with welfare organizations, Samantha’s Friends and the Code Red Foundation. He recently took to his social media account to share an informative video regarding his latest teaming with the above organizations. In the video, he speaks at a recent Samantha’s Friends event — Colors of the Rainbow. Additionally, Jordi also shared the details of his fundraising for the Code Red Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization that works to protect the youth of our nation.
“Wanted to thank everyone who came out this past weekend for the always wonderful @_samanthasfriends_ event!” The ex-Rey Rosales of The Young and The Restless wrote in his caption. “Special thank you for @_mammaalice_ for surprising me with a donation to our @coderedfoundation and inviting me to share some information on what me and my family are fighting for in the midst of all tragic school shootings” Jordi shared the good cause he is working towards, along with his family.
The Horrors of Terror
“Keeping our kids safe and giving them the best chance to survive. If, God forbid, another school shooting did take place!” Jordi continued. “Thank you all for your love and support and may the lives that have been taken, never be gone in vain.” The Young and The Restless star concluded. Furthermore, he explained how he and his family made a documentary on the 2018 school shooting in Parkland, Florida. During the making, they learned that every student who was shot and had a trauma kit survived. Their goal now is to put those kits in every school across the country. The funds he is raising will go towards those same purchases.
The Young and The Restless star Jordi has truly won our respect with his humanitarian work. We would also like to pay our respects to those who lost their lives in the terrible tragedy. May they be in peace wherever they are. We hope our world does not see another tragedy like this again. Human life is precious and losing it to acts of such terror is a horrifying injustice.
