Chelsea is going through tough times on The Young and The Restless. She has still not been able to make her peace with Rey’s passing. Moreover, she is also battling backlash from Connor and Johnny after the truth about her being Johnny’s bio mom came to the front. Phew! That broke out a sweat for us just to write. We have to tip our hats to actress Melissa Clair Egan to be portraying such an emotionally invested storyline. It must be exhausting! Well, fortunately for her, she just had the “best” time off-screen with someone from her on-screen past!
On October 7, 2022, the fabulous actress of The Young and The Restless had an off-screen reunion with her on-screen mom, Catherine Bach. The two gorgeous ladies spent some time together and were joined by Melissa’s little son, Caden. Catherine shared an adorable picture with her on-screen daughter on Instagram. “Here with my darling @missyclaireegan, playing with baby Caden, watching them both grow up.” She wrote alongside the picture.
The ladies looked “fresh as a daisy” in the pictures, as pointed out by actress Lisa Rinna of Days of Our Lives. Melissa’s co-stars, Lauralee Bell and Tracey E. Bregman, too, responded to the cute picture with a series of red hearts. Melissa too shared the same picture on her Instagram account, but not before leaving a heartfelt note for Catherine. “Love you so much C.B.! Our nights together are everything.” She gushed.
The Young And The Restless: Can We Hope For An Onscreen Reunion?
Circling back to Melissa’s alter ego, Chelsea, on The Young and The Restless. We have to agree with Adam’s sentiments about her. Adam believes that his ex is spiraling down a scary road. He has seen it with her before. Geona City’s resident counselor, Sharon, too feels that Chelsea needs to get some professional help to deal with her issues.
We feel this could be the perfect time for Catherine to come back to The Young and The Restless as Catherine’s mom Anita. Although, she might not be the professional help her daughter needs at the moment, she could still lend a solid shoulder. And who knows, Catherine might shed some of her vulnerabilities seeing her mother’s fierceness! We know Anita never comes slow! What do you think? Could this be a nice addition to the storyline?
