In another part of town, Nick is everywhere. He is already dealing with the dilemma of Ashland’s death, but that won’t be it. He also shut down Sally when she tried to resign from her position. Furthermore, he went and informed Phyllis and Summer about Ashland’s death. Phyllis was happy to hear the news, all the better after her recent announcement.
Chance Has Questions About Ashland
In The Young and the Restless episode of July 28, 2022, Ashland has been declared dead. Chance showed up at the Newman offices and confirmed the news. However, it does not look like Chance will agree to make it all look like an accident. He has a lot of questions for Victor Newman and the family, especially their security team.
Michael Baldwin made his presence felt and reminded everyone that he was there as counsel. After Chance was done questioning, Nick didn’t buy everything that had happened. He does not want to admit guilt for killing Ashland either.

Meanwhile, in another part of town, Nick spoke to Sally in this episode of The Young and the Restless. They met at Crimson Lights, and he yelled at her when she told him she was putting in her resignation. She no longer wanted to be the CEO of Newman Media. Nick was angry and told her she was among the many women who had given up their careers because of Adam Newman.
Later, Sally confided in Chloe. Chloe told her the same thing; Sally did not need to put her career on the line. Sally heard Nick and Chloe and, in the aftermath, decided to continue her job as Newman Media’s CEO. Her decision to stick to the job made Chloe very happy.
Nick Informs Phyllis And Summer
Nick is not done with drama yet. Later, he also showed up at Society. He interrupted Summer and Phyllis at their dinner and told them Ashland was dead. Summer broke into tears and rushed to tell Kyle about the news. Phyllis gave words to what everyone was thinking – good riddance.
The town now knows that Ashland is dead. They are happy because with him going, the chances of bad events have reduced drastically for Genoa City. Phyllis wishes the same would happen to Diane Jenkins as well. Before Nick arrived with the shocking news, Phyllis had set the balls rolling for her plan to take down Diane.
In this episode of The Young and the Restless, Phyllis announced that she wanted to work with Summer at Marchetti. None of this was about Summer – all she wanted to do was enjoy the world of fashion with her daughter. She shut down her daughter when she tried to question her intentions.
