However, the issue here is that Michael doesn’t want to retire because he will be alone all the time. Baldwin thinks that Lauren won’t let anyone else run her business, and he doesn’t know how to spend his free time.
So, the speculation is that Lauren might actually consider stepping away from Fenmore’s to keep Michael safe. Lauren will have to find someone responsible and great at fashion to run her business. We might see Lauren finding the appropriate candidate for that position, which could be Summer Newman.

The Young And The Restless fans know that Summer has arrived in Genoa City and will leave her job in Italy to be with her husband, Kyle. Once Summer starts settling in, she will start looking for a job. Lauren will find the perfect candidate in Summer. We know that Summer is working at Marchetti, so we cannot doubt her skill set in running a fashion business.
If Lauren appoints Summer as Fenmore’s head, Chelsea Lawson will not like it. Chelsea won’t like Summer being her boss; she might feel that Summer is way too young and she should get the position that Summer has. But, Summer will become comfortable in that position, and this power struggle might lead to a big feud between these two ladies.
