Recently, TV Season & Spoilers speculated that actor, Thad Luckinbill, could return as JT Hellstrom to The Young and The Restless. The possibility of it arose since Y&R is bringing back so many iconic characters from the past as part of the big 50th anniversary celebrations. At first, it was just a meager prospect; however, considering the way the story is heading, JT’s return is starting to feel more and more plausible. Keep reading to find out what makes us say so!
Off-late, there has been some major name-dropping related to JT on The Young and The Restless. Moreover, he has not been mentioned merely in passing but specifically in terms of a plausible return. We know that Elena has started a new podcast show on the CBS soap. Audra Charles is now trying to use it to her own advantage. Earlier, she suggested that JT would make a perfect subject for a discussion on Elena’s podcast, given his torrid history.
Now, Audra is trying to severely downplay the trauma that Victoria has suffered at JT’s hands on The Young and The Restless so as to convince Elena to draw him into Genoa City under the garb of the podcast. But why is Audra so interested in a man she has never even met? The answer is simple. She isn’t interested in JT per se, she is interested in the aftermath his return would cause. Audra has her eyes set on Nate these days. However, Nate is dating Elena at the moment. With a little serving of Victoria on the side, of course!
Thad Luckinbill Return To Daytime, Would He Come To The Young And The Restless
For the unversed, JT is Victoria’s ex-husband on The Young and The Restless. The couple was much in love once upon a time. However, that drastically changed when JT did a 180 and became abusive and violent towards Victoria. Eventually, his unhinged behavior was charted off to a brain tumor he was later diagnosed with. JT then underwent surgery to remove the tumor. Ever since then, he had been doing time for his crimes. But it seems that JT is now a free man.
The last time we saw Thad Luckinbill as JT on The Young and The Restless was in 2019, when Victoria and Christine visited him at the hospital. After that, no one saw or heard from him until now. From where Audra stands, she feels that if JT returns, there is a possibility of Victoria and him rekindling. That would get at least one hurdle out of her way to Nate. Moreover, if Victoria gets triggered or affected by JT, all the blame for bringing him back would fall on Elena! That would certainly cause trouble between Nate and Elena. So either way, JT’s return would pluck at least one woman out of Nate’s life.
So, will The Young and The Restless actually bring JT Hellstrom back on the soap? We certainly hope they do, but there isn’t any confirmation about that yet. However, we do know that Thad is most definitely returning to Daytime! He has signed a contract for a new series on Paramount+. The series is titled, Lioness, and stars Zoe Saldana, Laysla De Oliveira, and Nicole Kidman. Thad will play the character of Kyle. So, we at least have that to look forward to. However, after so much name-dropping, we really hope The Young and The Restless make good on the mentions and bring JT back!
