TLC Unexpected is back with new cast members and many interesting storylines. One of them is Aniyah and her partner Dakwon or Daedae. They were merely 17 years old when they found out about the pregnancy. They have had some ups and downs but nothing too dramatic had happened until quite recently.
Everyone had an issue with Aniyah’s mother, Ashley. They felt like she wasn’t being a good supportive parent during her teenage daughter’s pregnancy. Well, something really alarming happened in the brand-new episode, and everyone lost it. Aniyah’s mother has been getting lots of backlash since then. So, what did she do?

Aniyah and Daedae were merely 17 years old when they became part of TLC Unexpected. Finding out they were going to have a baby was a weird experience for them because they couldn’t believe it. Despite this, they had a good run together during the former’s pregnancy. But it was Aniyah’s mother, Ashley, who created havoc in their storyline.
As Aniyah went into labor, her boyfriend took her safely to the hospital. All this while her mother, Ashley, was out and eating without a care in the world. But when she reached the hospital, she told the receptionist that Aniyah’s boyfriend would take her there until she could get there. Fans knew it was a lie as they had seen her be too lazy to rush to her pregnant daughter’s aid.
But that’s not all. Fans got even more furious when they realized the delivery room required only one person to be inside with Aniyah. It’s because the hospital found out she had COVID, and those were the rules. So, Ashley kicked Daedae out of there as she decided to stay. Well, TLC Unexpected fans didn’t like this. They said, as the father of the baby, Dakwon should have been there. They knew he’d have taken care of Aniyah better than her mother, as her careless attitude had already upset fans.

Everyone has been rather upset and furious with Aniyah’s mother Ashley’s behavior on the show. TLC Unexpected fans have been saying how she doesn’t really care about her pregnant daughter and wants her to do better. There was also a scene in the show when the teen celeb was in labor, and they were discussing the birthing procedure. There was a moment when Ashely laughed and told the staff how her daughter wouldn’t “need epidurals.”
This scene was very similar to what happened between Jason and Kylen in Season 5. The former ruined his reputation when he was adamant that his girlfriend shouldn’t use epidurals during the delivery as she would be “drugging the baby” while doing so. Everyone has been unleashing hell on Ashley for behaving as if she knew what was better for her daughter and answering for her.
