The video preview featured a confessional of Hunter and his mother, Stacie. Stacie shared how Hunter’s father had abandoned him fully following Bella’s pregnancy.

“It all fell apart after Bella got pregnant,” she remarked. “His dad was like I give up now because you’re having a kid, and I can’t help you with your kid,” she added. His father’s stance had also greatly bothered Hunter. Apparently, his father told him that he ruined his life. “I do not feel like I ruined my life,” he responded, teary-eyed. After some time, he tried to shrug it off, back to his nonchalant self.

Previous episodes of TLC Unexpected Season 7 have painted Hunter’s father, Casey, as the man who abandoned his son when he needed him the most. Hunter and his mother’s statements portrayed a very bad image of Casey. However, that does not seem to be the case. Hunter’s father, unlike his reputation, has been fighting hard for custody of Hunter.

According to him, Hunter’s questionable decisions stemmed from his mother’s questionable parenting. When Hunter lived with him, he had steady grades and a healthy lifestyle. However, after he moved in with his mom, he started leading an indisciplined lifestyle. His grades soared downwards, and his mother allowed him to spend his nights with Bella.

As a result of this, he impregnated Bella. Casey claimed that Stacie allowed this dysfunctional dynamic and even pushed it. Therefore, he had been fighting for Hunter’s custody to keep Hunter from making more questionable decisions. The Ashley exclusively reported on some court documents. It stated that the judge had granted Casey temporary custody.
