The aforementioned clip featured her mother saying she didn’t give her daughter the birds-and-bees talk in detail. That was because Amya claimed to be a lesbian. Therefore, she didn’t think it was necessary to give her daughter “the talk.” In her defence, Amya said she never received any male attention, so she thought she was a lesbian. When Jose popped up, showing attention to her, everything changed. One thing led to another, and they got pregnant.

TLC Unexpected star Amya had welcomed her little bundle of joy on the show. Her proud expression showed her love for that very moment. However, in a recent clip, the baby’s father joined in to tend to the newborn. The fans didn’t witness Jose in the hospital room when Amya gave birth. They only saw Amya’s mother, trying to comfort her.

The recent clip showed Amya and Jose’s distress as new parents. They couldn’t fathom why there was blood on their baby. Needless to say, that sight terrified them. Amya subsequently raised her voice at Jose, asking him to fetch a doctor or nurse, or at least get a band-aid. Their baby boy kept crying, adding to the distress.

Later, in a confessional, Amya confessed that the weight of her new responsibilities was finally seeping in. She also reflected on her realization that caring for a newborn is a big responsibility. Then, her mother swooped in and made the baby stop crying. Amya revealed how nerve-racking it all was for them.

Then the new grandma chimed in with some words of wisdom. She remarked on the whole process as a “learning process.” She also remarked that the teens gotta learn to hold the baby properly, feed him at a certain angle, and comfort him.
